The NJ Tech Council CIO Conference focuses on the leading issues facing technology driven companies; the Global Commercialization Conference emphasizes collaboration at every level and between industry and academia; and regularly scheduled technology competitions, innovation forecasts and summits give members the opportunity to share their products and services to the community.

The Council’s Leadership Summit assembles New Jersey’s best and brightest tech and life science executives to share best practices, participate in insightful discussions, hear from engaging and successful speakers and learn practical advice for managing a more profitable company.

Sector specific conferences highlight emerging technologies: The HealthTech Conference highlights the growing market segment of health information technology; the Council’s FinTech Conference addresses the needs of the growing financial sectors as they seek to leverage new technologies to better serve their customers as well as new segments.

Focus on Technologies

The Council holds programs in four industry verticals: IT/Software; Communications/Media; Life Sciences/HealthTech; and Emerging/Disruptive Technologies. The Council is proud to call the industries’ most exciting companies “members”; they are leveraging data in exciting new ways, changing healthcare as we know it, and improving the environment with amazing technologies.

TechNews is published quarterly and covers the business behind Information Technology, Life Sciences, Electronics, Advanced Manufacturing, Energy, Environment, Communications and Media. Read what industry experts and innovators are saying about how they are growing their businesses.

Education Foundation

New Jersey’s best and brightest are lured away every year. The Tech Council is committed to attracting and keeping tomorrow’s highly educated technology workforce right here…we want students to attend our state’s brilliant universities and launch their careers in our great state. In turn, the Council’s Education Foundation brings business and academia together to foster collaborative relationships through teacher visits to member companies, as well as for student internships, research showcase initiatives and mentoring.

Access to Capital

The Tech Council launched the NJTC Venture Fund in 2001, an $72 million early stage fund dedicated to growing technology here in New Jersey. As of 2011, the fund was fully deployed having invested in 37 companies. Jumpstart NJ Angel Network is the region’s most successful network of angel investors. The group is made up of high net worth individual investors collaborating on deals, and has invested over $40 million since its formation.

At the NJ Tech Council, we believe members should be spotlighted and recognized for their contributions to the New Jersey and regional technology community. To that end, the Awards Celebration, which has been called the premier networking event in New Jersey, brings together hundreds of the business leaders from the region to celebrate the “Best of the Year” awards. Each year, the Council names CEO and CIO of the Year and financial executives are lauded at the CFO Awards Breakfast each June. Also, the most promising technologies are showcased and acknowledged at the Council’s Venture Conference.

Government Affairs

As an advocate for technology companies in New Jersey, the NJ Tech Council continuously monitors federal and state policies that impact the growth of New Jersey’s technology industry. Our member companies offer strength in numbers which the Council utilizes to inform and educate policy makers on issues that are important to the state’s technology and life sciences communities.
